Magical Mallorca!

A Week in Magical Mallorca, Spain!

Mallorca, Spain is Indeed a Beautiful and Magical Place!

I was grateful to experience it first-hand on my recent trip with the Travel Leader's Honeymoon and Destination Wedding Alliance.

Never Heard of Mallorca or Not Sure Where It Is?
No worries, you are not alone on that!

Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands, which are just a short flight off the coast of Spain. It is a place of historical importance with the most idyllic landscapes where the mountains meet the sea. Here, you are just steps away from amazing places such as the Cathedral Mallorca, countless beaches and amazing turquoise water, shopping, and all the culinary and wine flavors that Spain has to offer!

The Highlights From My Trip:

My friend and colleague Angee and I left for Spain on October 6, 2024 to meet up with several other travel advisor colleagues from the Travel Leader's Network Honeymoon & Destination Wedding Alliance.
We found an affordable non-stop American Airlines flight from O'Hare to Barcelona...a flight of close to eight hours. In Barcelona, we made an easy connection for a 40-minute flight to Palma Airport on Mallorca.
The airports in both cities are big and modern and pretty easy to navigate, even if you don't Spanish. If you have to ask for directions or help, it is not a problem as I found out. Just make sure to leave yourself plenty of connecting time to claim your bags and clear security!
If you are starting in another part of the U.S., there are many ways to get to Mallorca via Madrid, Lisbon, Amsterdam, and Zurich, just to name a few. This also makes Mallorca a perfect fit for a multi-city vacation featuring these locations and even Ibiza or the Canary Islands.
Upon arrival in Palma, the capital city Mallorca, we transferred to our first hotel stop which was the Zoetry Mallorca, a beautiful and artistic place in the Mallorcan countryside. After two nights, we moved into the city of Palma to the Secrets Mallorca Villamil Resort & Spa. Here, you will find a beautiful seaside beach resort close to shopping, restaurants and more. On the final leg of our stay, we spent the last three nights at the Iberostar Selection Albufera.
Along the way, there was so much to see and do and way too many highlights to mention them all. Of course, the Cathedral of Santa Maria in Palma, the Alfabia Gardens, the villages of Valldemossa and Soller, and the truly amazing picturesque views at luxurious Jumeirah Mallorca resort are ones I'll definitely remember.
This was my second trip to Mallorca and I love it even more now. There is something here for everyone's interest and tastes. It is safe, easy to get to and overall, very affordable.

All that I can say is that if it's not on your bucket list, it should be!

Some of the Resorts We Saw First-Hand:

Zoetry Mallorca:

Our first stop was Zoëtry Mallorca. This is your private oasis in the heart of the Mallorcan countryside. This serene refuge typifies Mediterranean culture and provides the ambience of a country estate that was built in the 14th century. This resort features its own neo-Gothic chapel, a private windmill and a carefully restored Mallorcan manor house, now equipped with all the comforts of a luxurious boutique hotel.
This Mallorcan country estate is the ideal destination for a honeymoon, destination wedding or wellness retreat.  The food was a highlight with contemporary Mediterranean cuisine by Andreu Genestra, winner of a Michelin star and Michelin green stars. Spa treatments after a fun day of seeing the sights are at the Pure Spa by Natura Bissé®. The facilities here are complemented by a range of Endless Privileges® at this luxury Hyatt Inclusive Collection resort in Llucmajor, Spain.
Secrets Villamil:

Secrets Mallorca Villamil Resort & Spa
Next, we were off to the city of Palma, the capital of Mallorca. Secrets Mallorca Villamil Resort & Spa, is an exclusive retreat for adults only, ideally located in the picturesque seaside town of Peguera, Mallorca. Here there are many local restaurants and bars to enjoy and lot's of shopping!
The rooms and suites at Secrets Mallorca Villamil Resort & Spa were very nice with many updated and with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea.
Here you can between choose breakfast included, half board or Unlimited-Luxury® experience. There were a wide range of activities at the resort,  local culture, nightly live music, and the renowned spa. Secrets Mallorca Villamil Resort & Spa is a perfect romantic getaway or a place to enjoy with family and friends as a part of a group getaway.
Jumeirah Mallorca Resort:

We didn't get to stay here, but we definitely got a feel for this extraordinary resort during our site inspection. The staff could not have been more friendly and they are obviously proud of this WOW resort! Jumeirah Mallorca crowns the cliffs of Port de Sóller with a new standard of luxury in Mallorca. Overlooking the town of Sóller, this hotel is recognized as a most desirable location for any opulent Mediterranean escape. I can see why as this resort was impressive! The Port de Sóller is an iconic and traditional town where we stopped for an amazing traditional Paella lunch with some amazing Spanish anti-pasta, wine and beer. Note that this hotel is a secluded sanctuary near the magnificent UNESCO Heritage Serra de Tramuntana.

Finally, there is way more that I can share about my experiences here in Mallorca. Feel free to give me a call and I'll be happy to go into more detail and answer any questions you may have.
This is especially the case if you are considering a honeymoon, destination wedding, or small group trip!
